Mika Nakashima is so perfect as Nana~ the rocker chic one. But but but... argh, they destroy my image of Ren. I can't believe the actor they cast as him, he's so out of character. .. ^^" I was thinking more of.. Yosuke Kubozuka or Hideaki Takizawa. They should be perfect for the role as Ren; tall, super skinny, can pull off looking all-cool but cute at the time, and it would be nice seeing them in spikes for a change. mwahah, in my dreams I guess..
I don't know how they make a 7 volume manga to a movie though. Hmm.. hopefully they don't leave out anything good.
I'm just gonna share this one album, just out this week: Tribute to Nana. It's a Japanese album, based on the popular shoujo "NANA". Nana is a story of two very different girls of the same name and how their lives intertwine together, through fate and music. One is a pretty gothic rock star, another one is just a plain simple girl-next-door. I just read up to vol 6, I think the scanlations got discontinued when it was lisenced by US market. Not sure. Anyhow, I kinda like the manga (especially since one of the male character, Ren, is so good looking for a manga character ;p) But I love the album much more.
Album features Japanese pop&rock bands I've never heard before, except for Do As Infinity and Ai Otsuka. I love Skye Sweetnam's (yea, that Canadian singer) feature song here.

One of the artistic/coolest trailers ever made. This movie is star-studded. And boy, they are gorgeous. It's gonna be box-office, or at least top 3 ;) I've always loved comic-book movies no matter how the critics usually diss them. Well, except Daredevil (iks), that was just plain crap; the trailer misled me.

A remake. Based on true story. I was supposed to watch the original when it played on TV, but no one wanted to watch with me -sobs- The trailer freaks me out.
Scanner Darkly >> view
Another rather typical Keanu Reeves movie with rather not so typical trailer. Even if you're not interested in sc-fi/matrix-like/any keanu movie for that matter, just watch the trailer for the heck of it. Vector art kicks ass.

Brad Pitt + assassins, what more can I say?

hilarious, extremely bonkers feel-good fantastic animation by Dreamworks (with a quite unusual interesting plot). Ooh la la. And it gives you a whole new perspective on the supposedly "cute & cuddly* penguins. They are... evviiill.. mwahaha *evil laughs*
